Whilst taking part in a masters course in graphic design last year I worked on a number of advertising campaigns as part of a project that aimed to shed some light on some multinational companies and their not so squeaky clean work practices. Below are a few of the adverts I came up with that aim to show the reader that companies such as Starbucks are not as squeaky clean as their advertising campaigns may suggest. They have, in the past been linked with the subject of poor working conditions for employees and unfair wages for bean growing farmers. Naomi Klein has written a brilliant book entitled “No Logo” and a lot of the subjects she discusses are illustrated within the images below.
